The men and women who provide the bulk of farm labor in our region are too often left to live in isolated, impoverished conditions. To be truly sustainable from both an environmental and human perspective, the agriculture industry must take a more active role in ensuring farm worker dignity. Farm worker access to education, food, housing and transportation are areas of chronic need and imbalance of opportunity.
