Standardized Recycling Labels

An answer to disposal confusion may be at hand. Recycle Across America has a potential solution to our less than stellar recycling and waste reduction efforts - standardized, informative labeling. I was just made aware of this initiative via a NY Times Opinionator blog article (see link below). Unclear or inconsistent bin labeling is a problem for knowledgeable citizens who want to do the right thing AND people who want to but give up when the slightest bit of confusion enters the picture AND those from an area where the practices are different.
If we supported the widespread use of these labels in our region, we could improve public awareness, increase public comfort level thereby increasing recycling and decreasing waste.
